google base automatic feed  FAQ

How do I schedule automatic Google Base updates?

Here's what you need to do to automatically schedule Google Base updates:

At your store:

1. For Google Base, you'll first need to add a new product or modify at least one existing product,
2. then Publish your store after activating the Automatic feature at your store.

This is to trigger an update so that the feed will be updated. Once you've done this, the Google Base feed will be permanently available for your store (and updated whenever you Publish your store) at http://{yourdomain}/googlebase_automatic.xml.

Once this is available, you'll need to schedule updates at Google Base:

3. To do this, log into your Google Base account,
4. go to 'My Items -> Data feeds',
5. click to "Create" a schedule for one of your existing feeds,
6. then choose the frequency (daily/weekly/monthly), date, time, timezone, etc. and enter "http://{yourdomain}/googlebase_automatic.xml" (without the double quotes) as your URL.

Google Base will then automatically check that URL as scheduled to update your Google Base products.
